Job Description:
Our client, a Nutritional Supplement/Nutraceutical manufacturer is seeking a Purchasing Agent in the Brandon Florida area.This job will have the following responsibilities: Generate, Develop, Enhance strategic partnerships with vendors. Negotiate prices, quality, transportation, payment terms and conditions.Analyze vendors and potential vendors for best options with regards to cost, service, quality, reliability and relationship potentialOrder materials, transportation or other pieces based on manufacturing needs.Keep up with vendors for raw materials, logistics and sales to optimize and predict supply chain patterns.Find opportunities to reduce cost, standardize procedures with supply chain, plant, finance and other departments.Qualifications & Requirements:3-5 years in procurement in the Nutraceutical space.Knowledge of cGMP manufacturing operationsStrong math skills, lb-kg etc.Detail oriented, organized and thoroughStrong Communication SkillsetExcel and Quick Books experience
