Job Description:

The Junior Patient Account Analyst is responsible for collections, accounts receivable, billing, and account reconciliation for hospital accounts. This is a remote position after initial onsite training. Responsibilities: --- Ensures all patient accounts are managed in a timely and accurate manner. --- Exercises knowledge of billing, collecting, financial classes, and payor sources. --- Maintains and complies with audits, HIPAA and internal controls. --- Supports all documentation requirements. --- Utilizes multiple systems to achieve position goals. --- Collaborates with team to support policies, procedures, and internal controls. --- Maintains federal, regional, state, local, and contractual regulatory requirements. --- Escalates issues related to job responsibility. --- Effectively accesses and utilizes pertinent information related to hospital specific reports. --- Completes special projects to support needs of the company. --- Organizes, plans, and manages time effectively to complete assignments. Qualifications: --- High School Diploma or GED preferred. --- Preferred 2 years previous business office billing and collection experience. --- Knowledge of claim forms, CPT codes, HCPC codes and ICD-9/ ICD-10 codes. --- Strong third-party payor knowledge. --- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
