ABOUT THE COMPANY:
Operation PAR, Inc. is a non-profit organization offering the full continuum of services for individuals with substance use and/or mental health disorders. PAR has been providing comprehensive behavioral health treatment in west Florida since 1970 through advocacy, education, clinical services, and research.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Performs substance abuse and mental health counseling work to substance abusing, juvenile justice involved adolescents. Counselor duties include but are not limited to; screening, assessment, individual/group counseling and treatment planning. Responsible for servicing primary caseload along with other clients as assigned, and documenting in accordance with company standards.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in human services, counseling or a related field
• CAP preferred
• Preferred minimum of two years of individual, group and family counseling in the mental health and/or substance abuse field LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS AND REGISTRATIONS:
  • Valid Florida driver's license
  • Must pass background and fingerprinting checks
  • HIV/AIDS training required every two years BENEFITS:
    • 9 paid holidays per year
    • 3 weeks of PTO per year (on top of holidays). PTO increases to 4 weeks/year after 2 years of employment, and then to 5 weeks/year after 5 years of employment.
