Summary: Manufacturing Technicians contribute to our mission of saving and sustaining lives by develop ing , maintain ing and test ing instrumentation under general direction used to service medical devices using engineering instructions, diagrams, and technical manuals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities --- Adheres to all environmental, health and safety SOP s, equipment, policies and procedures, including any department specific requirements. --- Follows defined Quality Management Systems, all applicable procedures, reviews maintenance records, and completes al l documentation as required . --- Maintains a mindset that all accidents can be prevented and works pro - actively to achieve zero harm in the workplace. --- Review s project instructions and blueprints to ascertain test specifications, procedures, objectives, test equipment nature of technical problem, and possible solutions such as part redesign, substitution of material or parts or rearrangement of parts or subassem blies. --- Assemble s experimental circuitry or complete prototype model according to engineering instructions, technical manuals and knowledge of electronics systems components and their functions. --- Devise s test fixtures and equipment as required while continua lly improving product quality, cost and safety. --- Set s , maintains and calibrate s equipment . --- Conduct s functional tests to evaluate performance and reliability of components, subassembly, and fluid assemblies. --- Analyze s calculated test results in relation to de sign or specifications and test s objectives and modifies or adjust s equipment to meet specifications as needed . --- Record s test procedures and results, numerical and graphical data, and recommendations for changes in product or test method. --- Performs other dut ies as assigned . Education and/or Experience: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. --- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. --- Basic PC s k ills and working knowledge of spreadsheet and word processor applications required. --- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variable in situations where only limited standardization exists. --- Must be able to wear applicable personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated areas as required including safety glasses at all times . --- Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time. Associate's degree or equivalent from two - year college or technical school required. Military t raining may substitute for educational requirement. A minimum of 5 years of related experience.
