Keiser University's New Port Richey campus is seeking an IT Help Desk Specialist.

Provide user support and customer service on company-supported computer applications and platforms. Troubleshoot problems and advise on the appropriate action.

Main Job Duties and Responsibilities
respond to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, chat or email
diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues
research questions using available information resources
advise user on appropriate action
follow standard help desk procedures
log all help desk interactions
follow up with customers and users to ensure complete resolution of issues
redirect problems to correct resource
identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention
track and route problems and requests and document resolutions
resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks and Wide Area networks
prepare activity reports
inform management of recurring problems
stay current with system information, changes and updates
help update training manuals for new and revised software and hardware
train computer users as necessary
clean up computers

Education, Qualifications and Experience
AA degree preferred
working knowledge of fundamental operations of relevant software, hardware and other equipment
experience researching, analyzing and interpreting automated system problems
knowledge of relevant call tracking applications
knowledge and experience of customer service practices
related experience and training in troubleshooting and providing help desk support

This policy is intended to safeguard the health and well-being of employees and their families, our students, visitors, and others who spend time on our campuses and in our facilities from Covid-19's infectious conditions that can be reduced through an effective mandatory employee vaccination program. This policy complies with all state and local laws and is based upon guidance provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and public health and licensing authorities, as applicable.
This policy applies to all KU employees: faculty (including regular full-time and part-time faculty, administrative faculty, and adjunct faculty), regular full-time and part-time non-faculty staff, temporary employees, third party vendors and individuals receiving offers of employment in any of these categories. Individuals receiving offers of employment are required to timely comply with this policy prior to the commencement of employment by attesting to a completed vaccination or receipt of HR vaccine exemption approval. Individuals receiving offers of employment from KU who do not timely comply with this policy will have their offer of employment rescinded.
Employees who do not want to vaccinate due to a strong moral conviction must document this within our internal portal. Much like those with accommodation requests they must comply with wearing of a mask while on campus per the CDC social distancing guidelines in addition to mandatory testing twice per week.
