As an integral part of HCA Healthcare, the RN Clinical Nurse Coordinator for Med Surg plays a vital role in upholding our mission to provide exceptional, patient-centered medical care at our state-of-the-art facilities. This position requires a dedicated individual capable of enhancing patient care and optimizing the efficiency of our medical surgical team. By leading a team of nursing staff and collaborating with other healthcare professionals, the coordinator ensures adherence to healthcare regulations and hospital policies, enhancing the overall patient experience. This role balances clinical responsibilities with administrative tasks, acting as a key link between healthcare professionals, patients, and procedures. Supervise and mentor medical-surgical nursing staff. Coordinate patient care activities and ensure compliance with safety protocols. Assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans. Manage staffing schedules and job assignments to optimize workforce efficiency. Evaluate medical procedures and outcomes to identify areas for improvement. Facilitate communication between staff, patients, and other healthcare facilities. Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and departmental reports. Strong leadership and organizational skills Expertise in medical-surgical nursing practices and principles Proficient in using healthcare software and systems Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active Registered Nurse (RN) license Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification preferred Certification in Medical-Surgical Nursing (CMSRN) is advantageous
