Job Description:

Encompass Health is currently seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team, offering a compassionate touch to patient care across our comprehensive network. This role is suited for individuals who are committed to recovering the health and spirits of our patients through tailored occupational therapies in both facility-based and home-based settings. The successful candidate will be involved in implementing patient-specific treatment plans, documenting patient progress, and supporting the occupational therapist in all procedural aspects. Assist in the implementation of treatment plans created by the occupational therapist tailored to patient needs, Document patient’s response to treatment and communicate with the supervising therapist about updates or recommendations, Educate patients and families about in-home treatment strategies and self-help techniques, Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations, Manage therapeutic equipment and aid in the use and maintenance of prosthetic devices. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, Familiarity with electronic health record systems (EHRs), Ability to handle physical workload, Knowledgeable in occupational therapy principles and practices. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) required, CPR certification preferred.
