Job Description:

HCA Florida Brandon Hospital is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for our Cardiovascular Open Heart Surgery team. This critical role requires a compassionate and experienced nurse who excels in a fast-paced environment and is committed to providing the highest quality of care to patients undergoing open heart surgery. As part of our esteemed team, you will work closely with top cardiovascular surgeons and receive exposure to cutting-edge medical procedures and technology, aligning with our commitment to innovation and excellence in healthcare. Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care to patients undergoing open heart surgery. Monitor patient vital signs and recovery progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed in consultation with surgeons and physicians. Administer medications and document patient interactions and responses to treatments. Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and lifestyle adjustments. Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room and ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards. Participate in continuous education to stay current with the latest advances in cardiovascular health and surgical procedures. Proficiency in managing cardiovascular patients and adeptness in operating room protocols. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. Ability to make quick and accurate decisions in high-pressure situations. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required. Certification in Cardiovascular Nursing (CVRN) preferred.
