Job Description:
HCA Florida Brandon Hospital is seeking a dedicated Registered
Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic Med Surg Ortho team. The selected
candidate will play a crucial role in providing top-tier care in
our specialized orthopedic surgery unit. This position is perfect
for someone passionate about aiding patients in their recovery
process through innovative care and dedicated support in a
state-of-the-art healthcare facility. Provide direct nursing care
in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols
of the healthcare organization. Monitor, record, and communicate
patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized
documentation systems. Assess and coordinate patient's discharge
planning needs with members of the healthcare team. Administer
prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor
vital signs. Supervise and support clinic staff. Advocate for and
educate patients and their families on treatment options and in the
management of their health. Excellent interpersonal and
communication skills. Strong organizational and problem-solving
skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Proficient in using healthcare software and systems. Medical
Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k
Current Registered Nurse license in the state of Florida or a
compact licensure state. BLS certification from the American Heart
Association. Orthopedic Nurse Certified (ONC) preferred. ACLS
certification is considered an asset.
