Job Description:

HCA Florida Brandon Hospital is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) procedures, particularly open heart surgery, to join our expert team. As a leader in healthcare services, our hospital delivers high-quality care facilitated by cutting-edge technology and methodologies. This role requires precision, critical thinking, and a commitment to exceptional patient outcomes in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Demonstrating expertise in CVOR practices, the candidate will collaborate closely with cardiovascular surgeons and a specialized healthcare team, supporting procedures and ensuring the highest standards of safety and care. Assist in cardiovascular and open heart surgeries, ensuring all necessary supplies and equipment are available and functional. Monitor and ensure strict adherence to aseptic techniques and surgical procedures. Provide immediate post-operative care and accurate documentation of surgical interventions. Collaborate with specialists in cardiovascular fields to plan and evaluate the clinical care of patients. Educate patients and their families on preoperative and postoperative care specific to cardiovascular surgery. Participate in ongoing professional development and intra-departmental collaboration to improve patient outcomes. Advanced knowledge of cardiovascular physiology, surgical procedures, and emergency response. Competence in operating specialized CVOR equipment. Strong analytical skills and the ability to make quick, effective decisions. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Florida. BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification. ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Certification preferred. Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) certification is a plus.
