Job Description AHMG Diabetes and Endocrinology at Kissimmee \n Nurse Practitioner, ARNP or Physician Assistant, PA-C \n Opportunity at AdventHealth Kissimmee \n General Summary: \n The ARNP or PA, under the supervision of the Physician(s) who acts as the collaborative practitioner, is responsible for: \n • Performs physical examinations and evaluation of adult patients with diabetes, endocrine disorders and metabolic diseases \n • Orders and interprets appropriate diagnostic tests, such as routine laboratory, X-ray, etc. \n • Monitors the patient’s course of treatment and makes appropriate referral to either a physician or specialist, as needed \n • Collaborates with physician supervisor(s) and staff, as necessary to provide consistent care to patients and support to staff \n • Displays a caring and professional attitude at all time as well as maintaining personal and professional growth \n • Write and/or dictate progress notes, procedure notes, history and physical examination, in accordance with medical policies. \n • Evaluate the processes and outcomes to enhance the delivery of excellent, cost-effective health care \n • Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. \n Schedule Details: \n • Schedule is Monday – Friday \n • Campus: AH Kissimmee \n Knowledge and Skills Required: \n • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, patients, parents and hospital medical staff \n • Desire to become part of a multi-disciplinary thoracic surgery program \n • Must be able to work a flexible schedule as evening and weekend on-call/rounding will be required \n • Candidate must be able to successfully pass a third-party background check and pre-employment drug screen \n Education and Experience: \n • Master’s degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies \n • 1-3 years previous experience providing care for patients with diabetes and endocrine disorders (Preferred) \n Licensure, Certification, and Registration: \n • Current, valid Florida APRN or PA license \n • Current, valid DEA license \n • ANCC, NCCPA (or equivalent) certification \n • BLS and ACLS required
