Job Summary and Qualifications At HCA West Florida, we are committed to creating a world-class experience for each patient. We are currently seeking an Ultrasound Technologist on a part-time/full-time/PRN/per diem/as-needed basis. As the Ultrasound Technologist, you will be responsible for producing quality, diagnostic radiographs, and ready for Radiologist interpretation. Your tasks and responsibilities include: - Select appropriate procedure on EOP request; enter charge code into system correctly - Responsible for completed file to be turned into the Radiologist: main jacket with exam and time, correct inserts, interim and comparison films - Distribution of all dictated reports and charting, stapling, mailing, filing of return films and purging of file rooms during any slow time on shift - Ensure equipment table is kept clean, wiped down after every patient contact (including W/C, stretchers) - Ensure equipment maintenance needs are reported immediately to supervisor to ensure minimal down time and safety Qualifications: - Allied health degree (2-year) - Successful completion of a 12-month CAAHEP-accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program - Valid ARDMS with a minimum of 1 specialty - Current BLS Certification - Knowledge of the use and maintenance of equipment specific to ultrasound - Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, sterile technique and patient positioning techniques - Knowledge of safety practices relative to radiation exposure, hazardous materials and infection control policies For over 40 years, HCA Florida South Tampa Hospital has been providing comprehensive healthcare services.
