Job Summary and Qualifications Join our team as a PreOp Registered Nurse in our ambulatory surgery center. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating the nursing care rendered preoperatively for your patients. As a valued addition to our company, you will exhibit the values of HCA as a whole, as well as your individual center, providing quality care like family. What you will do in this role: - Prepare your patients’ care area adequately before case - Ensure availability of necessary equipment and supplies for your patients’ procedure - Conduct complete physical and psychological assessment and evaluation of your patients’ history and diagnostic tests - Review your patients’ charts for completeness prior to surgery - Administer pre-operative medications and intravenous therapy as prescribed - Monitor your patients until transferred to the OR Qualifications you will need: - Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma or Higher degree in Nursing Required - 1 years of nursing experience in a clinical setting, preferably in PACU, ICU or Surgery - Active RN license as required by state of employment - BCLS Certification upon employment. online certification not acceptable - ACLS required within 30-days of hire - PALS if required by facility within 30-days of hire Brandon Surgery Center is located in Brandon, Florida, one of the fastest growing communities in the Tampa Bay Area, near I-75 and I-4.
