Job Summary and Qualifications We are seeking a Pre Operative Registered Nurse for our Outpatient Surgery. You will provide clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care in a high acuity environment. What you will do in this role: Closed on holidays and weekends (call team only when closed) Minimal call shifts Flexibility in Scheduling 8, 10s, 12s available shift Opportunities for growth, certification and professional training. 12 of our RNs certified in the last year and half (CAPA AND CPAN). Cohesive, low-turnover team currently searching for engaged and high-performing RNs to join our innovative team. Evaluate patients prior to surgery Provide patient and family education surrounding the procedure and peri-operative process Assume responsibility for patient preparation, including intravenous therapy, preoperative medications, and surgical site verification Participate in surgical site verification, including briefing, time out, debriefing, and universal protocols, according to hospital policy Recognize and respond to patient emergencies Assess patient condition, monitor throughout your shift, and document changes in patient condition along with the care provided thoroughly Educate patients and families/caregivers about the patient’s medical condition, treatment and follow-up measures What qualifications you will need: Licensure as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 60 days of hire. On-call is required during select non-business hours Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred. Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred. Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
