Position Description: RN - Night Shift - Med/Surg - St. Joseph's North

The Registered Nurse works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards. Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team. The Registered Nurse is also responsible for professional accountability and development.

* The registered nurse collaborates and communicates with inter-disciplinary care providers in developing and assisting in plan of care
* Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patient, family, and significant others in a medical/surgical unit
* Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment.

We are currently looking to night shift openings for the Medical/Surgical units at St. Joseph's North. These units include:

Progressive Care/Cardiac Telemetry

Women's Services Med/Surg

Observation Med/Surg

Med/Surg/Telemetry

Orthopedics

Neuro

Renal/GU

Oncology

Requirements:

* Registered Nurse license
* BLS
* 6 months RN acute care experience
* Associates Degree in Nursing

Certifications and Licensures

Required BLS (Basic Life Support) Required RN (Registered Nurse) Required ACLS (Cardiovascular) If required by department Preferred Nurse Specialist

Education Required Associate's Nursing Or Diploma Nursing Preferred Bachelor's Nursing

Experience Required 1 year Acute Care
