Description $10,000 Sign-On Bonus* This Registered Nurse position is part of our "5-South" Cardiac Medical Nursing Unit. Our 5-South Team is providing care for patients with a variety of medical diagnoses who also have prior/chronic cardiac conditions. The RN is responsible for the observation, assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care; health teaching and counseling of the ill, injured, or infirm; and the promotion of wellness, maintenance of health, and prevention of illness of others. Administers medications and treatments as prescribed or authorized by a duly licensed practitioner authorized by the laws of this state to prescribe such medications and treatments. Education\tNursing Diploma or ASN; BSN preferred. Licensing/Certifications\tCurrent FL RN license required or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 90 days of hire. \tCurrent BLS Certification from the American Red Cross (HCA chosen provider) OR American Heart Association required.\tCurrent ACLS certification preferred - required within 6 months of hire.\tCurrent RN-BC (M/S, CV), CMSN, ONC (Orthopedic Nurse Certified), or PCCN (Progressive Care Certified RN) required. (New hire must obtain within 6 month grace period of hire date. Transferring employees must obtain within 6 month grace period of position effective date.) Qualifications\tPrevious experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.\tPrior Tele/Progressive Care nursing experience desired.\tLifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.\tCritical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills.
