Description Up to a $15,000 Sign-On Bonus*This Registered Nurse position is part of our "5-North" Post-Surgical Nursing Team. Our 5-North Team is primarily providing care for post-surgical patients including general surgery, urology, vascular, and post-oncology surgery (plus some medical overflow). This 36-bed unit offers all private patient rooms. This position offers a full time 36 hours/week schedule, regularly consisting of three 12-hour shifts with weekend rotations. • Nursing Diploma or ASN; BSN preferred.Licensing/Certifications
• Current FL RN license required or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 90 days of hire.
• Current BLS Certification from the American Red Cross (HCA chosen provider) OR American Heart Association required.
• Current ACLS certification preferred - required within 6 months of hire.
• Current NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification preferred - required within 6 months of certification eligibility.
• Current PCCN (Progressive Care Certified RN) or CCRN (Critical Care Certified RN), or RN-BC (MS or CV) preferred - required within 6 months of certification eligibility.Qualifications Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred. Prior Progressive Care and/or Critical Care nursing experience desired. Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs. Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills.
