The Nurse Extern performs a variety of delegated basic patient care services related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living under the supervision of the registered nurse (RN) in a complementary and assistive role.

Skills:

* Reads and writes Basic English with the basic skills necessary to transcribe physician's orders
* Ability to listen, empathize and respond to patient, family, internal and external partners needs
* Basic computer skills
* Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.

Qualifications

Job requirements:

* Currently enrolled and in good standing in an accredited school of nursingrequired
* Basic Cardiac Life Support from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross
* 1+ years of nursing school completed preferred
