Hours/Shift:Part Time/DaysYou Will Be Responsible For:PICC/Vascular
Access* Demonstrates, through behavior, AdventHealth core values of

procedures and assessments in accordance with department policy.
Performs venous access related procedures within the scope of
practice of the RN licensure. Functions appropriately in Code Blue
and other clinical emergencies. Evaluates effectiveness of
interventions. Interprets and verifies physician orders,
investigates questionable situations. Demonstrates continuous
competency in the specific procedures related to venous access and
infusion therapy. Provides expert resourcing to staff nurses and
other departments as consulted. * Obtains patient assessment,
evaluating diagnosis, previous medical history, existing infusion
related complications, and ordered therapy as relates to current
venous access consult. Demonstrates the ability to assess and
interpret data relative to patients' age and infusion therapy and
venous access needs.* Identifies individualized plan of care based
on patients' needs related to both infusion therapy and the venous
access consult and intervenes appropriately. Evaluates patients'
developmental level, identifies increased physical/emotional
dependency needs and evaluates availability of support system
consistent with assessment.* Evaluates the need for and provides
patient teaching in all aspects of the venous access specialty.*
Participates in practice changes as a result of performance
improvement activities. Demonstrates accurate documentation and
monitoring of activities as needed. Reflects a working knowledge of
AdventHealth' s Policies and Procedures in daily activities.
Supports quality standards and initiatives set by the department.
Communicates with Department Supervisor, Clinical Specialist, or
Educator as needed to enhance excellence in the delivery of patient
care.* Follows CDC guidelines for sterile technique and isolation,
demonstrates appropriate use of PPE, performs handwashing according
to policy and enforces safety regulations.* Manages and intervenes
appropriately for the patient with current venous access issues,
including but not limited to: prioritization, appropriate venous
access choice for age, therapy, and any current complication's
impact on the needs for IV therapy. * Under general supervision the
Venous Access RN is a registered professional nurse with leadership
skills certified as a Vascular Access Specialist who is responsible
for supervising and providing direct and indirect vascular access
care to assigned age groups as identified in the position
responsibilities. Adheres to the AdventHealth Corporate Compliance
Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local,
state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. Utilizing the
hospital performance improvement process (assess, plan, implement,
evaluate) in the goals of the Venous Access Services Department.
Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts
responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally
respectful to all.* Demonstrates leadership skills and continuous
competency in the specific procedures related to venous access and
infusion therapy. Directs and provides supervision of patient
venous access care activities of staff on shift basis ensuring
staff is delegated tasks appropriate to their scope of practice,
skill and the patients' needs. Provides and supervises others in
providing expert resourcing to staff nurses and other departments
as consulted. Encourages staff participation in cost containment
activities. Appropriate use and charging of patient charges and
medical/surgical supplies* Supports Supervisor, Clinical
Specialist, Educator, other Charge Nurses and Staff in promoting a
harmonious practice setting that fosters collegial relations,
professional development, creativity and a safe environment. Is
readily available to personnel on assigned shift for expressions of
concern. Provides stability, is supportive and has a positive
attitude during periods of confusion and uncertainty from
department or organizational change. Seeks educational

Team as work load dictates to meet patient needs.* Has thorough

isolation.Imaging Interventional Radiology RN* Participates in
patient care at both AdventHealth Zephyrhills and AdventHealth Dade
City.* Performs properly and legibly documents and reports all
procedures and assessments in accordance with department policy.
Utilizes proper method-paperwork or computer for documentation. *
Obtains or delegates the obtaining of a nursing history. Evaluates
for age-appropriate behavior motor skills and physiological norms
of the patient. Completes the initial assessment, including pain
screening. Completes all follow-up assessments and evaluations.
Assesses for signs of abuse or neglect. Evaluates patients'
developmental level, identifies increased physical/emotional
dependency needs and evaluates availability of support system
consistent with the age of the patient served. Demonstrates the
ability to assess and interpret data relative to patient age. Able
to identify individualized plan of care. Evaluates patients'

knowledge of the levels of growth and skills for the neonate/infant
(0-1 year), Pediatric (1-12 years), adolescent (12-18 years), and

Summary:As a Venous Access Service (VAS)/ Imaging Interventional
Radiology RN, you will make providing service your priority while
caring for the whole person in a faith-based atmosphere.The Venous
Access Service/ Imaging Interventional Radiology RN is a registered
professional nurse validated as a Vascular Access Specialist and
trained in the interventional radiology setting, who is responsible
for providing and supervising direct and indirect total vascular
access care to all age groups as identified in the direct care
responsibilities. Utilizes the nursing process (assessing,
planning, implementing and evaluating), in achieving the goals of
the Venous Access Services / Radiology departments. Communicates
with Department Supervisor, Clinical Specialist or Educator as
needed to enhance excellence in the delivery of patient care.
