Job Description:
The Project Manager will be responsible for the coordination of
PMO and project implementation initiatives within the Credit
Obligor Risk Analytic (CORA) Portfolio within the Risk & Control
PMO group.The project manager will work closely with our partners
from other areas of Risk Management, Model Risk Management, and
Risk Technology to oversee different projects, monitor their
progress and completion, and ensure that they meet the expectations
of the project sponsors on time with minimum risk.This role
requires thorough understanding of project management deliverables
including, but not limited to, project plans, status reports, and
meeting materials. Hands-on experience is required in the
preparation and tracking-to-plan of project plans, along with the
ability to adjust plans in response to new priorities.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the day-to-day management of executing to
milestones on one or more projects
- Create and updating project plan
- Seek ongoing stakeholder engagement and feedback on key plan
deliverables
- Coordinate and conduct weekly project meeting and document
meeting notes
- Coordinate with cross-discipline team members to make sure that
all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and
schedules
- Prepare status reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing
relevant information
- Communicate project status, risks, issues and dependencies to
key stakeholder groups and senior management.
- Establishing effective project communication plans and ensuring
their execution
- Manage and mitigate risk and issue proactively
- Assess creation and ensure sign-off of project plan, charter,
stakeholder management plan, acceptance plan, and central project
issue log.
- Ensure all stakeholders are identified and included in scope
definition activities and understand project schedule and key
milestones.
- Ensure all areas of the project are appropriately staffed and
monitor project commitment from those assigning resources.
- Escalate project risks to the Project Director, or Project
Sponsor, when appropriate.
- Provides in-depth and sophisticated analysis with interpretive
thinking to define problems and develop innovative solutions.
- Directly affects the business by influencing strategic
functional decisions through advice, counsel or provided
services.
- Persuades and influences others through developed communication
and diplomacy skills with colleagues in other areas and occasional
external customers.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made,
demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation
and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving
compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to
Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal
behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing
and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as
effectively supervise the activity of others and create
accountability with those who fail to maintain these
standardsExcellent verbal and written communication skills and
detail oriented are essential. The ideal candidate will leverage
exceptional analytical and project management skills to drive
efficiency and effectiveness, through strong presentations, clear
communication, and ability to action in a fast-paced
environment.Experience working with Senior Management is a
significant benefit. The candidate must have the ability to
understand and adapt to new and evolving requirements and issues
and articulate a clear plan of action. This is an Irving (TX) or
Tampa (FL) based role.Qualifications
- 7 -12 years of hands-on 'application' project management
experience in the financial services industry
- Financial Service industry experience.
- Proven experience delivering PMO artifacts and documentation,
including project plans, status reports, RAIDs logs, and other
meeting materials
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge and experience in Program Management methodologies,
including agile and waterfall methodologies
- Excellent communication skills required - Ability to
communicate and interact effectively with clients, project managers
and workstream stakeholders
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships and effective
partnerships at a very senior level
- Ability to collaborate with others to achieve objectives
- Able to work to tight deadlines with unfailing reliability and
juggle multiple priorities
- Flexible and able to adjust to other's schedules and operating
models
- Proficiency in all MS Office applications especially Excel,
PowerPoint and Project PlanPreferred Qualifications
- Non-IT PM / PMO experience
- Big 4 Big 4 consulting PM / PMO experience
- Qualification in project management or process design (PMP
certification, etc.)
- Understanding of regulations such as CCAR, CECL, Basel II,
Basel III, ICAAP etc.
- Background in regulatory project management, issues management,
risk, and controls
- Understanding of risk model development processes
- Experience working with stakeholders and teams in
geographically dispersed locations.
- Any prior experience working on Climate Risk project teams
- Interest in solving major challenges related to climate change
and sustainabilityEducation
- Bachelor's degree / University degree in Finance, Computer
Science, Math, Physics, Economics)
