Candidates must have 5 years of supervisory experience post 5 years of histotech bench work.
Shift will be Monday Friday , 9am 5:30pm.

Job Summary:
The Manager of Histology, working under the direction of the Administrative Director of Anatomic Pathology, provides leadership and oversight of the histology laboratory, ancillary testing services, and translational research departments.
The manager serves as the resource for coordination of research projects, test validation, and clinical test implementation activities in the department. Duties for this position include management of daily operations, personnel management, budgetary-fiscal responsibilities, research project management, quality assurance and assessment, regulatory and billing compliance, ensuring accurate design of LIS and IT processes, and coordination of projects and shared interdepartmental activities.
The manager also serves as the department's liasion or internal consultant for both inpatient and outpatient areas of the organization.
The laboratory manager relies on experience and sound independent judgment to formulate strategic goals and to also resolve day-to-day operational issues. Emphasis is placed on high quality patient care, operational efficiency, turn around times, and meeting budget targets.

* Bachelor's Degree is required, Master's degree is preferred.
* FL DOH Supervisor's license in Histology and ASCP HTL license are required.
* Must have a minimum of five years relevant Histology laboratory operations experience at the laboratory manager and-or supervisory level. Minimum of five years experience at a histotechnologist level inclusive of IHC techniques, optimization, and validation prior to management-supervisory experience.
