Job Description Job Description Job Purpose: Traffic Control Field Supervisor to oversee and manage traffic control operations at various job sites. The Traffic Control Field Supervisor will have strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of traffic control regulations and procedures. Job Duties: Supervise and coordinate traffic control operations at construction sites, events, or other designated locations. Lead a team of traffic control personnel, providing guidance, training, and support as needed. Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and protocols. Review and interpret traffic control plans and blueprints. Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and local authorities to plan and implement traffic control measures effectively. Monitor traffic flow and adjust control measures as necessary to minimize disruptions and ensure safety. Conduct regular inspections and audits to assess the effectiveness of traffic control measures and identify areas for improvement. Maintain accurate records of work activities, including daily reports, incident reports, and equipment inventory. Job Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience in traffic control operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Certification in traffic control management or equivalent training preferred. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Thorough knowledge of traffic control regulations, standards, and procedures. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, maps, and traffic control plans. Proficiency in using traffic control equipment and devices. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Physical Requirements/ Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit and talk or hear, both in person and by telephone. Requires lifting and carrying of up to 50lb or more. Requires using hands to handle, control or lift objects with a strong grip
