Job Description Job Description Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1 year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A Physical Therapist position is available to support K-12 students in a dynamic school district located in Tavares, FL. This full-time, contract role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse student caseload across multiple school locations within the district. The assignment runs through May 29, 2026, with an immediate start date. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct physical therapy services to approximately 40 active students, including consultations Deliver itinerant services across multiple school locations, adapting to varied environments and student needs Collaborate with educational staff and families to develop and implement individualized therapy plans Maintain thorough and timely documentation in accordance with district requirements Complete onboarding and credentialing processes to obtain district access and authorization Qualifications: Active professional licensure in physical therapy School-based experience is highly preferred but not mandatory for consideration Ability to manage a caseload effectively and provide support throughout the school day (8 hours/day with a 30-minute unpaid break) Flexibility and willingness to travel between schools as needed Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work collaboratively with students, educators, and families Location: Multiple schools within a school district in Tavares, Florida Benefits and Perks: Structured support through a district-specific onboarding process Opportunity to impact student development positively within an educational setting Experience working with a full caseload across multiple school sites Candidates interested in this opportunity should be prepared to participate in a brief eligibility interview, flexible between 9-11 a.m. and 2-3 p.m. EST.
