Job Description:

OverviewSummary of Essential Functions for the Position:The Office Specialist is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day activities of a multi-faceted home health agency to ensure smooth and efficient office and good patient relations.-- Works closely with the Office Manager, in conjunction with staff, physicians, outside resources to assist in the coordination of care, resolves patient problems, scheduling and additional issues that arise.-- Serves as back-up to the Office Manager in his/her absence to orient, train and direct staff to office policies, procedures and practices.--Qualifications / Licensure / Certification / Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

  • --Experience in home health preferred
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Must be well organized and demonstrate attention to detail
  • Ability to work within a team environment and with deadlines
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Acceptance and ability to demonstrate and support the core values and goals of Agency
  • Must demonstrate good customer relations skills and a commitment to providing quality service
  • Proficient with a computer and Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook software
  • Valid drivers license, automobile liability insurance and reliable transportation required
  • Travel may be requiredEducational Requirements:High school diploma or GED required.--Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:Working environment is relatively quiet and can be stressful due to deadlines, multiple tasks and general compliance of law, rules and regulations.-- The position requires visual acuity and dexterity, sitting, standing, some pushing, pulling and lifting up to 25 pounds.-- Auto related accidents possible.
